YOWOBI (yowobi.com) is an independent text adventure platform. When we say "we" in this policy, we mean the operator of yowobi.com.

The honest answer: almost nothing.
YOWOBI does not require an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information.
YOWOBI saves your game progress — specifically, which worlds you have completed with a Victory ending — using your browser's localStorage.
This data is stored entirely on your own device. It never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, which will reset your progress.
We do not use cookies. We do not use tracking pixels, session recording, fingerprinting, or any other mechanism to identify or track you.
YOWOBI's narratives are powered by Claude, an AI made by Anthropic. When you play, your in-game commands are processed by Anthropic's API.
Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy, which you can read at anthropic.com/privacy. We encourage you to review it.
YOWOBI is hosted on Netlify. Netlify may log standard server access information (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of normal infrastructure operation. This is governed by Netlify's privacy policy.
We do not integrate any other third-party services. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no ad networks, no social tracking widgets.
Because we don't collect personal data, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your game progress lives on your device — you control it entirely.
If you are located in the EU, UK, or California and have a specific privacy concern, please contact us at privacy@yowobi.com and we will respond promptly.
YOWOBI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our site, please contact us and we will address it.
If we ever change how we handle data in a meaningful way, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date above. We will not introduce advertising, tracking, or data collection without clearly disclosing it here first.
